SUSTAINABILITY, VERSATILITY, RECYCLED

SUSTAINABILITY

At Lola Starr, sustainability is considered at every stage  from design to production  without compromising on performance or style.

We use premium recycled materials, including ECONYL® regenerated nylon, created from waste that would otherwise pollute our oceans and landfill. This innovative fabric delivers the same strength, stretch and performance as virgin nylon, while allowing materials to be recycled and remade again and again  reducing the need for new resources.

As a proud British brand, we manufacture in the UK and produce all bespoke pieces in-house in Liverpool. By keeping our production close to home, we support the local textile industry while reducing our carbon footprint.

We work with skilled designers, pattern cutters and seamstresses who share our values of quality, longevity and responsible production. Our printing is carried out locally in Liverpool, and all orders are packaged using recycled and recyclable materials.

We believe great design should last — creating pieces you wear again and again, not just once.

ECO-I Summary LJMU

Lola Starr has undertaken a thorough analysis of its supply chain carbon footprint in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University, laying a solid foundation for its future environmental strategies. The comprehensive assessment, facilitated by ECO-I-NW, has provided valuable insights and recommendations aimed at reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

“As the owner of the brand, sustainability is always at the forefront of my priorities. I am dedicated to minimising our environmental footprint as much as possible. My primary goal is to ensure that our products stand the test of time, both in terms of style and quality, thus extending their lifespan as much as possible.Every time we make something it has a negative impact on the planet, Therefore, it’s imperative that the products we create are truly worth it. For us, it’s not about constantly chasing trends or introducing new items frequently. Instead, our focus is on crafting the very best products that you’ll want to wear often and cherish for a long time. It’s about quality over quantity, adhering to the philosophy of “less, but better.” This approach allows us to create a positive impact".

VERSATILITY

Our pieces are designed to move seamlessly with you, from training sessions to everyday life.

Each design is created with versatility in mind, combining performance-led fabrics with elevated, minimal styling. This means your activewear isn’t limited to the gym, it transitions effortlessly into coffee mornings, school runs, travel days and everything in between.

We focus on timeless colours, considered silhouettes and mix-and-match pieces that work across seasons and collections. The result is a wardrobe that feels effortless, functional and built to last.

RECYCLED PACKAGING

Our packaging is made from recycled corrugated cardboard and can be recycled. Why not reuse our postal boxes, they would make a great storage box for small items or documents?

RECYCLED FABRICS

We use premium recycled performance fabrics, including ECONYL® regenerated nylon, chosen not only for their reduced environmental impact, but for their technical performance.

ECONYL® is created from regenerated waste materials, yet delivers the same strength, stretch and durability as virgin nylon. The fabric is engineered to be breathable, moisture-wicking and supportive, offering a second-skin feel with gentle compression that moves with your body through every workout and throughout the day.

All of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning they are free from harmful chemicals and safe against the skin, soft, comfortable and designed for all-day wear.

By combining advanced technical fabrics with responsible production methods, including reduced water usage and non-toxic processes, we create activewear that performs at a high level while being more considered in its impact.

MADE TO LAST

We design with longevity in mind — not just in style, but in how each piece wears over time.

Every Lola Starr garment is created to be worn, lived in and relied on. And because we believe in extending the life of what you own, we offer a complimentary repair service on all pieces.

Threads can catch, stitching can come away — it happens. When it does, we’re here to fix it.

All repairs are carried out by Kate, who has been a seamstress since the age of 16, ensuring each piece is restored with the same care and craftsmanship it was made with.
